Cookie usage

  1. The service does not automatically collect any information, except for information contained in cookies.
  2. Cookies ("ciasteczka") are computer data, particularly text files, that are stored on the End User's device and are intended for use with the websites of the Service. Cookies typically contain the name of the website they come from, the duration of their storage on the end device, and a unique number.
  3. The entity placing cookies on the End User's terminal device of the Service and accessing them is the Service operator BACKRAMP located at 15-680 Bialystok (Poland).
  4. Cookies are used for:
    • customizing the content of the Service's web pages to the User's preferences and optimizing the use of websites; in particular, these files allow the Service's User's device to be recognized and the web page to be displayed appropriately, tailored to their individual needs;
    • creating statistics that help understand how Service Users use the web pages, which allows improving their structure and content;
    • maintaining the session of the Service User (after logging in), thanks to which the User does not have to re-enter their login and password on every subpage of the Service;
  5. Within the Service, two basic types of cookies are used: "session" (session cookies) and "persistent" (persistent cookies). "Session" cookies are temporary files that are stored in the End User's device until logging out, leaving the website, or turning off the software (web browser). "Persistent" cookies are stored on the End User's device for the time specified in the cookies' parameters or until they are deleted by the User.
  6. The following types of cookies are used within the Service:
    • "necessary" cookies, enabling the use of services available within the Service, e.g., authentication cookies used for services that require authentication within the Service;
    • cookies used to ensure security, e.g., used to detect fraud in the field of authentication within the Service;
    • "performance" cookies, enabling the collection of information about the use of the Service's web pages;
    • "functional" cookies, allowing "remembering" the settings selected by the User and personalization of the User interface, e.g., in terms of the chosen language or the region from which the User originates, font size, website appearance, etc.;
    • "advertising" cookies, enabling the delivery of advertising content more tailored to the User's interests.
  7. In many cases, the software used to browse websites (web browser) by default allows the storage of cookies on the User's end device. Service Users can make changes to cookie settings at any time. These settings can be changed in such a way as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings or inform about them every time they are placed on the Service User's device. Detailed information about the possibilities and ways of handling cookies is available in the software settings (web browser).
  8. The Service operator informs that restrictions on the use of cookies can affect some of the functionalities available on the Service's web pages.
  9. Cookies placed on the End User's device of the Service and used may also be used by advertisers and partners cooperating with the Service operator.
  10. More information about cookies is available at http://www.aboutcookies.org (site available in English) or in the "Help" section in the internet browser menu.
